I’m Jillian Pancini, born and raised in beautiful Northwest Indiana. I’ve got over 20 years of photography experience under my belt in the worlds of portrait, wedding, film and darkroom, newspaper, editorial, and fine art. In that time, through photography, I’ve met new people, seen new places and learned things that I might otherwise not have learned. Having this form of expression has helped me see the world in ways that may have gone unnoticed, had I not been looking through the lens of my camera.
Through my work as a wedding and portrait photographer, I get to see a glimpse of people’s lives. My goal is to record what stands out to me as beauty and truth and present it in a way that withstands the test of time.
I live in Valparaiso, Indiana with my family. In addition to my work as a photographer, I happily home school my children. When I’m not working or teaching, I love to read the classics, drink tea, stay up very late with friends, take long baths, eat delicious food, cook delicious food, make sourdough bread, kombucha, sauerkraut, or any number of fermented things, visit museums, look at art, watch good movies, swim, draw, paint, write, dig in my garden, take photos for pleasure, read to my kids or just spend time with my family.
Everyone’s paths and stories are so different. I love seeing what I can learn from the new people that I meet.
Thank you for reading a little about me. I hope that if we meet, we’ll feel as if we’ve always known each other.
